I wore a blue blazer, grey slacks, white shirt and navy blue tie because that's what referees wear (well, the color of shirts and ties is optional, but I don't have, nor thought of, green ones) and so I voted other. If I'd have thought of it I'd probably have chosen option 8 to do. For the contrariness only, of course.

Remember, we did do 8. If I counted right.

Right, so we did. I actually meant 9...

I wore my work uniform with a green wooden snake toy wrapped around my neck. Too bad folks didn't get the humor in that.

I wore a shirt that had green in it, but it wasn't intentional. It was just a Hawaiian print polo shirt.

I wore underwear with green and orange print on them. I'm an Episcopalian, which is Protestant catholic. I don't cater to the Papists.

My family is Welsh. I ended up wearing lavender for no particular reason than it was a nice shirt.

I'm more Welsh than Irish, and I don't particularly like either the Prods or the Catholics. Oh, and I happen to venerate St. Patrick as a saint rather than as an excuse to drink beer or a celebration of a culture that I'm not part of.

I wore greenish turquoise because I didn't have any green clothes! Because green is the color to wear...

It didn't work. I got pinched anyway.

I have no known Irish blood and come from a long line of Protestants, so I don't wear green. Orange looks hideous on me and I don't own anything orange right now, so that wasn't an option. Have worn clothes with some orange in them in the past on St. Patrick's Day.

Half my pants are green! I'd have been wearing green pants that day, St. Pat's or no. :D

Not during the day. But by accident, for a party Saturday night, I got some green on. I wore a shirt with multiple GIRs dancing all over it, in his dog suit. Got lots of geeky admiration for the shirt from guys at the party, too.

Actually my paternal line went to Canada from northern Ireland. I suspect that if I investigated, I probably should have worn Orange, but why be a spoilsport? :<)

I would have loved an opportunity to stay naked all day... but what I did was visit with friends who had an 8 year old, so pinching-avoidance was an option. I wore a Green Lantern tee shirt and matching ring because I am a comic book geek.

I stayed home all day, so I was likely in pajamas or a robe. Don't actually recall.

I wore green velvet and we hosted our annual Beer Tasting Party. It was quite the celebration.

Glad to hear you had a good time. Back when I lived in Massachusetts and NY I liked the tradition a lot more. I think having the immigrant connection keeps it more on the Irish than the beer.

Yes--by accident.
