Fast-track to Remainder Bin
Went to Wal-Mart the other night. On the one hand, it's great to see a big Serenity
poster at the entrance pushing the DVD sales. OTOH, what the heck does this cover have to do with the movie?
I don't remember River ever having that expression in the movie, and Summer Glau doesn't have blue eyes. The main focus is on this incoherent riot or battle or something that was never in the movie. It looks like all the marketing people trying new and innovative ideas to push Serenity got fired, and the intern was told "Make a cover picture. Try for something like Attack of the Clones. Or Buffy. And don't sweat it, kid, nobody but the hardcore fans is going to buy this anyway."
